Clear expectations.

A few practical answers before sharing a requirement.

Can I outsource a small part of a project?

Yes. A defined WinCC Unified, Siemens PLC or simulation development package can be discussed separately from the wider project. Suitability depends on the required inputs, interfaces, timeline and testing arrangements.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Share the system overview, exact software versions, required deliverables, available engineering inputs and target timeline. The downloadable brief provides a starting point. Do not include credentials or confidential project files in an initial enquiry.

Is support remote or on site?

The current offer focuses on part-time remote development assignments. Meeting windows, access arrangements and availability are agreed for each scope. On-site commissioning and urgent production support should not be assumed.

Which software versions can be supported?

TIA Portal, WinCC Unified and SIMIT are the core platforms. The exact engineering version, updates, target runtime and simulation coupling must be checked together before accepting a scope.

How are testing and handover handled?

The agreed scope identifies test scenarios, acceptance responsibilities, review milestones, revisions and handover files. Simulation and offline tests do not replace the site team's commissioning and acceptance procedures.

Can we discuss confidentiality before sharing files?

Confidentiality requirements and any NDA can be discussed before project files are exchanged. Initial contact only needs a non-confidential description of the requirement.
